Spring break from teaching at Parsons.
Day 1: Gallery scoping on my
New York stay-cation.
Last stop,
this small text-based exhibit
at Pratt.
Well worth a go see.
Good to know
the young bucks are picking up
where Barbara Kruger and Jenny Holzer leave off.

Check out this new Brooklyn based indie perfume duo, D.S. & Durga.
I won’t give away my signature scent of choice.
You should choose your own.

I’ve made my way back to the piano.
This vintage Anderson arrives Saturday.
A 30th gift from my parents,
Rich & Arlene.
I’m so thankful.
Our new Brooklyn pad
will be noisier than ever.

Who knew photographer Paul Jasmine did the voice of Norman Bates’ mother in Psycho?
I didn’t.
There’s a short interview with Jasmine posted on NOWNESS.
Check it out here.

I decided if I wasn’t inspired by something I’d move on.” ~Paul Jasmine

I like this blog.
It reminds me of my parents’ old medium format prints
and of dancing to Elvis in my Grandmother’s kitchen upstate.
This shot is inspiration for the gathering of faces I want to welcome to
our new apartment this fall.
Welcome home.

I like this new series that Nan Goldin shot for Scanlan and Theodore.
Somehow this shot feels a bit like Juergen Teller meets William Eggleston.
